Who We Are

Built by brothers. Run like a business.

Nestled in the rolling hills of the Ouachita Mountains — one of America's oldest mountain ranges — and surrounded by forestland in southwest Arkansas, Crowned Double P Ranch started as two brothers looking at the same herd through different lenses. One of us came up working cattle — feeding, calving, and learning to read an animal by eye long before any of it was written down. The other spent his career in data and analytics, more comfortable trusting a spreadsheet than a hunch. On their own, neither view was complete.

So we built the ranch around both. We believe cattle raised on instinct alone leave money on the table, and cattle raised on data alone lose the herd sense that makes them easy-fleshing and long-lived. Our program runs on both: boots in the pasture every day, and performance records behind every breeding decision.

It's also where the "A.I." in our tagline comes from — artificial insemination and artificial intelligence, or by extension, applied analytics — working side by side instead of one replacing the other.

Mentorship & Partners

We didn't build this alone.

Mentorship has been essential in shaping our breeding program — guidance that balances innovation with tradition, and that keeps every step aligned with sustainable genetic progress.

Wade Benoit — M&M Farms

Wade Benoit's long-term mentorship has been crucial in shaping our herd growth and genetic foundation, providing steady advice on timing and cattle quality.

Allen Goode — TRIO Cattle and Genetics

Allen Goode and TRIO Cattle have contributed valuable genetics and expertise, helping us build a studious, performance-driven Red Brangus program.

The Program

Four disciplines. One standard.

Every pairing in our seedstock program is selected to improve the genetics of the herd and the breed — cattle built to perform in a commercial operation first, not for a single flashy trait. That standard occasionally produces a show-quality animal, and we're glad when it does, but that's a bonus, not the goal. See it in the herd sires and dams we've built it around.

01

Balanced Genetics

Phenotype, structural correctness, maternal quality, and performance data all carry weight — never just one trait at the expense of the rest.

02

Fertility Focus

Heat-tolerant, early-breeding, easy-calving females that stay in production season after season.

03

Efficiency & Growth

Cattle that convert forage efficiently and grow on schedule, so gain shows up on the scale — not just the pedigree.

04

Profitability

Every selection decision is filtered through one question: does this animal make our customers more money?

Every decision starts on the ground we work every day.

Genetics & Data

Modern analytics meet solid management.

We weigh EPDs, performance records, and carcass data alongside daily, hands-on observation. It's a selection process we're building deliberately, so the numbers support what good stockmanship already sees, not replace it.

EPD-Informed Selection Calving ease, growth, maternal, and carcass EPDs factor into our mating decisions.
Performance Record-Keeping Weaning weights, yearling weights, and breed-back rates tracked as we build a real performance history over time.
Commercial-Ring Standard Sires and dams selected for how their calves perform in someone else's herd, not just ours.
